Booking Procedure & Length of Stay
1. How do I make a booking at Jazz Hostels?
The simplest way to make a reservation is through our Reservations page or through any of the ‘GET A ROOM’ buttons throughout our website. Once a booking is made, you will receive an email confirmation.
2. How do I make a change to my booking?
Contact the Jazz location where you made the booking via email or phone. Please be sure to include your Booking Reference Number when you write.
3. What is your cancellation policy?
To cancel your reservation, you must contact the Front Desk at least 24 hours prior to your arrival. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours in advance (also known as a "No Show"), you will be charged the first night's total cost for the total reservation (known as a "No Show Fee").
At any location, if you made a reservation without a deposit and you plan to check in later than 6:00pm, you must contact the hostel to put a deposit down to hold your room. If you do not put a deposit on the room, your reservation may be cancelled.
Group cancellations are handled separately through our Group Sales Manager. Please visit our Groups Sales page for more information.
4. Do I need a membership to stay at your hostels?
No membership is required to stay at our hostels.
5. How long can a guest stay at Jazz Hostels?
Maximum stay at any Jazz Hostels is 14 days. For Groups there is more flexibility dependent upon availability. Please contact our Group Sales Manager, Liz Mathews, at Liz@jazzhostels.com.

Rates & Payment
1. What are your rates?
We offer competitive rates year round, which vary depending on location and room type. Please check our location pages for more information on specific hostels.
2. Do you give any discounts?
In New York, all hostels except Jazz on Lenox offer the following discounts: $2.00 off with ISIC card; 5% off with VIP Backpackers card. At Jazz on the Park, we also give 10% off with Integrated Nutrition cards.
In Miami, we can offer $1.00 off for ISIC and VIP Backpackers cards.
IATA card holders can receive a 50% off for entire stay. Please note that this is applicable to the holder of the card ONLY and is not transferable. Card holders can receive the discount only be presenting their card and a photo ID upon check in.
3. What is included in the price for a night?
The price always includes free linens, towels and housekeeping.
4. Is tax included in the price?
Tax is NOT included in the listed price. New York tax is 13.375%. Miami tax is 13%. This amount will be added to your total balance at time of check in.
5. What methods of payment does Jazz accept?
Payments can be made by cash, credit card, debit card, money order, or travelers checks.
6. Can I pay for my reservation day to day, as I my plans may change?
Sorry, all reservations must be paid in full upon arrival. If your plans do change simply give the front desk a 24 hour notice and you can be reimbursed for the remainder of the reservation.
7. Does Jazz Hostels give refunds?
Yes, but not in cash. All refunds are reimbursed on credit/debit card- even if you paid for your booking with cash. If you do not have a credit or debit card, we will mail you a refund check, which takes approximately 2-3 weeks.

Accomodations
1. What is an ensuite room?
An ensuite room is a bedroom with attached bathroom.
2. What types of rooms are available?
Every Jazz Hostel offers a combination of private and dorm rooms. Please visit the Location pages for details about each specific hostel.
3. Can children stay at Jazz Hostels?
Young children are welcome as long as they are supervised by a parent or guardian. If you are traveling with children under 10 years of age, you are required to book a private room.

House Rules
1. What time is Check-in and Check-out?
In New York, check in time is 2:00pm. Check out time is 11:00am. There is a $15 Late Checkout Charge for checkout after 11:00am.
In Miami, check in time is 2:00pm; check out time is 12:00pm.
2. Is there a Curfew?
Nope. Never.
3. Does Jazz Hostels allow…
Un-chaperoned youth under 18 year of age?
At our New York locations, youth under 18 can make a reservation if they submit a faxed parental consent form.
Jazz on South Beach cannot accommodate youth under 18.
Non-paying visitors?
All individuals spending time at Jazz Hostels must be paying guests. If you are expecting any visitors, please make plans to meet at the lobby and spend time together outside the building.
New York residents?
Residents of New York State cannot stay at any of our New York locations. But, please visit us in South Beach, Miami.
Smoking in the rooms?
All indoor areas at all Jazz Hostels are smoke-free. Please feel free to use our outdoor terraces and roof desks to smoke.
Pets?
Jazz Hostels can only accommodate pets who assist people with special needs. Please note that guests with pets must reserve private rooms only.

1. What does Jazz Hostels provide?
At each Jazz location you are guaranteed the following:

Each Jazz location also offers many amenities unique to that location, from free breakfast and laundry facilities (at Jazz on the Park), to guest kitchens (at Jazz on Lenox, Villa, and South Beach). Please visit our Locations pages for more details.
2. Are left-luggage facilities provided?
Yes, we can hold your luggage for $4.00-$5.00 per bag, per day. Price varies by location.
3. Do Jazz Hostels offer tours?
Yes Jazz on South Beach offers tours and can be booked at the front desk 24 hours a day.
4. Does Jazz Hostels offer airport shuttle pick up?
No, but you can make advanced arrangements for an airport pick up or drop off through our exclusive shuttle bus service, Airlink.
5. Does Jazz hold mail for guests?
As a general rule, Jazz Hostels is not responsible for accepting or collecting mail for guests. As a courtesy, we can hold mail for up to a week, after which point it will be returned to the sender. If you are expecting mail to be sent to you, please make sure the item clearly states "(YOUR NAME) - GUEST." Please also let the Front Desk staff know that you are expecting something to arrive.
